Washington DC

Every day of the year, there are news stories that come out of Washington DC, the DC standing for District of Colombia, with announcements from the White House, the Oval Office, the President of the United States, the Pentagon, from Capitol Hill, from Congress, the Senate.
Almost everyone in the world knows these names, with the White House probably the best known house in the world, and the President of the United States, said to be the world’s most important person.
Washington DC is the political center of the United States and in many ways the political center of the world too!
Many thousands of people come to Washington DC to see this political heartland, and there are a lot of great places to see and enjoy too with some of the world’s best museums and a rich city history –portrayed in its museums and in the 715 libraries located in the City.
If you are planning to come to Washington, it is best to have at least a couple of days to spend here.
