The City of Dallas is characterized by its skyline of high rise buildings, and to get a great view over the City, head to the Reunion Tower building – a 470 feet high tower at 300 Reunion Boulevard East. See Tel: 866 204 0622. This Tower building is the one with the ball shape at the top that looks like a polka-dot ball of light at night.

  • Dallas World Trade Center – 2050 N. Stemmoris F'wy. See Tel: (214) 655 6100. There are 50 big trade Markets held each year, and this is a huge venue for these trade shows. Certainly it is worth checking to see what is happening here when you are in Dallas.
  • Ken Bailey Convention Center – 650 S. Griffin Street. See Tel: (214)939 2750. Also worth checking to see what is happening here too.
  • Dallas is home to the Dallas Cowboys football team, and they play at the AT&T Stadium located at 1 AT&T Way, Arlington. See Tel: 1-817 892 4000. If you get a chance to see them, it is great fun with the atmosphere at the game pretty electric. They also have daily tours of the Stadium too.
  • Also another big Stadium/Arena is the American Airlines Center – 2500 Victory Avenue in Dallas. Here the National Hockey League NHL Dallas Stars games are played and also the National Basketball Association NBA Dallas Mavericks. The Center is also where big name Music shows happen. See The building is pretty amazing too.
  • Pioneer Plaza Park – cnr. Young and Griffin Street. MUST SEE. This is a great little park with Longhorn sculptures and horse and cowboys depicting the Cattle Drive.
  • Southfork Ranch – Home to the TV show 'Dallas'. 3700 Hogge Rd, Parker. See Tel: (972)442 7800. The TV show ran from 1978 to 1991 and became one of the most famous TV shows in the world. Here you can see the original buildings and relive the days of JR Ewing, Bobby, Sue Ellen, Miss Ellie, Jock and the other characters.
  • Six Flags over Texas – 2201 Road to Six Flags Street East. See Tel: 817 640 8900. This is a big amusement park set out on 200 acres of grounds.
  • The Ros Perot Museum of Nature and Science – is located at 2201 N. Field Street. See Tel: (214) 428 5555. This too is an amazing building to see.
  • Dallas Center of Contemporary Art – is located at 2801 Swiss Avenue. See
  • Old Red Museum – 100 South Houston Street. See Tel: (214) 571 1300. This is in a great old stone building with a tower and turrets on top. Here they have Texas history and displays.
  • Dallas Museum of Arts – is located at 1717 N. Harwood Street in a classic 1903 building. See Tel: (214) 922 1200. This has one of the biggest art collections in the USA, with a number of antiquities dating back up to 5000 years.
  • Crow Collection of Asian Art – 2010 Flora Street. See Tel: (214) 979 6430. A great collection of Asian Artworks.
  • Nasher Sculpture Center – 2001 Flora Street. See Tel: (214) 242 5100. Here you will the work of some of the world's best sculptors.
  • Dallas Holocaust Museum – 211 N. Record Street #100 See Tel: (214) 741 7500.
  • Frontiers of Flight Museum – 6911 Lemmon Avenue. See Tel: (214) 350 1651.
  • Dallas World Aquarium Zoo – 1801 N. Griffin Street. See Tel: (214) 720 2224. Here you will see many rare animals, birds and fish – such as the Pied Tamarin, Red Bearded Saki and many others. It is a very impressive Zoo with great spaces for the animals and birds that are here.
  • Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens – 8525 Garland Road. See Tel: (214)515 6615. MUST SEE. There are 66 acres of gardens here, with 19 different garden types including an 8 acre Children's Garden. It is right next to 1873 acre White Rock Lake and Park, where people sometimes sail, kayak, walk and picnic.
  • George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum – 2943 SMU Boulevard. (at Southern Methodist University). Tel: (214) 346 1650. Here you can see records and other material from the Bush Presidential years.
  • Majestic Theatre – 1925 Elm Street. See This is a classic old Theater with shows happening.
  • Theatre Three – 2800 Routh Street. See Tel: (214) 871 3300.
  • Meyerson Symphony Orchestra – 2301 Flora Street. See Tel: (214) 670 3600.
  • Dallas Farmers Market – 1010 S. Pearl Expy. See Tel: (214) 939 2750.
  • Dallas Heritage Village - 1515 S. Harwood Street. See This Village of Pioneer houses covers around 20 acres of ground.
  • House of Blues – 2200 N. Lamar Street. See Tel: (214) 978 2583. This is "Where Music feeds the Soul", a place where you can eat a Po'Boy and Jambalaya and enjoy great music. B.B King (1925 - 2015) has played here, and many other great artists have followed.
  • Swiss Avenue Historic District – Swiss Avenue - See some of the big historic private homes in this street in the section between Fitzhugh Avenue and La Vista Drive.

In Dallas there are many shopping Malls such as Galleria (13350 Dallas Pkwy. See ), Highland Park (47 Highland Park Village See ) and many others including Premium outlets ( See Grand Prairie Premium Outlets, 2950 W. Interstate 20, Grand Prairie, about half way between Dallas and Fort Worth ) and many others.

The Historic center of the City was Main Street and this has now seen a resurgence of growth and re-development with Main Street being a large green space, with Elm Street on one side and Commerce Street on the other. If you are looking for an atmospheric place to enjoy a coffee, head to Stone Street Gardens, a short street that links Main Street to Elm Street. Also out and about in Dallas and Fort Worth look for some of the small diners. Some of these diners have lots of Americana atmosphere and good food and sometimes music.
